Question
hello there i own a 2004 E450 cube van! ive owned it from new. im having trouble starting it. i have to plug it in all year round. im from canada and we get hot summers hear and it still wont start if it's not plugged in. it's been to 3 different repair shops. im at the end of my wits with this thing they and myself have tryed just about everything possible. Note! started having this problem after my first EGR cooler went! ( started leaking coolent into exhaust )i have gone thru 4 EGR coolers in 2 yrs!! truck is now at repair shop again and also has a lack of power at take off also no throttle response when cold till it warms up!! any help would be nice thanks!!

Answer
I am assuming that this is the 6.0L Turbo Diesel Power stroke engine. it sounds like you may have a bad head gasket, does it keep overheating? a bad head gasket can cause over pressure and blow our an EGR, though it seems your repair shop may have picked up on that, i would have it checked out.
