Ford: Axle and hub swap for 83 Ford Bronco, ford bronco xlt, ford bronco

Question
Jason,
I hope that you will be able to answer this question for me..I own a project 1983 Ford Bronco XLT 4X4..The Bronco is in stock configuration; 302 V8, auto trans, manual hubs...The truck runs and drives but has an issue with the front hubs ( I believe ) The previous owner ran with two different tire sizes and possibly damaged the front end. The front tires were 31 x 10.50, while the back were 32 x 10.50 ( I have always been told that this is a no-no and it was one of the first things I corrected ) Anyway, when the hubs are engaged on any flat dry surface, for instance driving through snow and hitting a dry patch of asphalt, I experience major vibration and side - to - side motion from the front tires...So much so that the rubber will chirp as I am driving...
What do you believe is the cause of my problem ? The vibration is so bad I have a difficult time keeping the Bronco headed straight down the road
A friend of mine owned a 1980 Ford 1/2 ton 4X4 ( not certain of the model ) with a 351 modified...He still has spare running gear and enough parts to do a complete rebuild of my Bronco's front end...My question is whether or not the parts are interchangeable...
Any help with these matters would be appreciated..

-Jeff

Answer
Jeff, to answer your question, yes, those parts will interchange.  Now, it sounds to me like your front end just needs to be aligned.  You can take the old parts off yor buddy's truck, or you can get new ones pretty cheap at the parts store.  Put them on their and spend another 50 dollars to get the front end aligned, and you probably won't have anymore problems until you go off-roading again.  Good luck,   Jason
