Ford: Dana 44 knuckles, old ford pickups, brake calipers

Question
I have a 83 Ford Ranger with a dana 44 from a '77 bronco (disc brakes). I recently changed the knuckles out for a pair of flat top knuckles and a high steer kit. I have run to a problem, everything fits back together except the calipers now hit the back of the new knuckles. Is there another caliper that fits better than the ones from a '77 bronco or what do I need to do to make the calipers fit.

Thanks,

Answer
Jason, this is a difficult question.  I would call 303-688-6882.  This is a company that I have used in the past.  They sell package deals on conversions from drums to disk brakes.  He sells a conversion for old ford pickups, and the brake calipers he sells are for (I think) a 83 monte carlo.  They have worked very well for me.  This may or may not be what you need, but I think this company will be of some help to you.  I wish I could say exactly what you need to make them work, but I can't.  Good luck,    Jason
