Ford: brakes&axles, dana 44 front axles, dana 44 front axle

Question
I have a 1976 Ford F100 with a 1973?? Dana 44 front axle.
I know it is a Dana 44.
What do I have to do to change from drum to disc brakes?
I would also like to know if the 73-76 Dana 44 front axles are the same for drum and disc brakes, or what is the difference between them.
Are the steering knuckles the same for both types?
Any help is very much appreciated.

Answer
Terry, call 303-688-6882.  This company offers everything you need to make the conversion.  They are very helpful.  They can get you everything you need for less than 500 dollars.  Everything will be new, quality parts.  The axles will not make a difference.  I will say that he offers loaded calipers at a good price, but you can get them at your parts store a little cheaper.  If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.  Good luck,   Jason
