Ford: Ford Explorer Air Conditioning Problem, 1997 ford explorer, ford explorer

Question
I have a 1997 Ford Explorer that blows hot air out of the defrost vent whenever the truck is running. It doesn't matter if the ac is turned on or off, it just keeps blowing hot air.  In fact, no air comes out of the normal ac vents at all.  What could be causing this?

Answer
Hi,

It seems like your truck a/c system needs to be checked for low a/c gas. This would be best done at an authorised service station as you will need to gauges, nitrogen and a/c gas. There could be a leak in the a/c system. this can be checked by first recovering the gas left in the system and then pumping in nitrogen, check for any drop in pressure, if there is a drop in pressure the cause of drop will need to be located.

Do revert for any clarifications.
