Ford: F-350 oil pump removal, ford f 350, memory fades

Question
I have a 1994 Ford F-350 dually 2 wheel drive with a 460 V-8 with 142,000 miles on it and it runs and looks excellent.

Is it possible to be able to drop the oil pan down just far enough so as to be able to get the oil pump out ?.

The oil pressure is only reading about 35 lbs at 2000 rpm's on a known good external oil pressure gage and specs are I believe 44 to 60.

It has been a few years since I worked on a Ford truck and I can't remember if it is possible to get the pump out without unbolting the motor mounts and jacking up the engine to remove the oil pan.

I want to sell the truck and buy a new one but with the oil pressure gage showing on the low side it will make it difficult to sell. I was thinking about installing a HIGH VOLUME output oil pump or putting in a flat washer in the pressure regulator of the pump that is in it.

See what happens when you get old. Your memory fades.

Answer
Tom  your have to remove the motor mounts or you will never be able to get to the oil pump . now if you are worred about the pan gasket being a pain to reinstall not to worry they just came out with a steel and rubber 1 piece gasket that you can put in with only 1 hand and blind  folded.
