Ford: PCV valve for 92 Ford 460, ford f 350, rubber grommet

Question
The recommeded PCV valve for my 92 Ford F-350 with a 460 is a Fram FV367, an odd thread in expensive type, which does not fit into the rubber grommet or vacuum hose currently on the truck.  Is there an acceptable alternate type or do I need other parts (grommet and elbow) to put the FV367 in?  I have owned the truck since new and have only had work done by professional mechanics, did they change the PCV from stock?  Thank you.

Answer
Ron  the only way to tell is to remove it and inspect it .I would only use a factory one due to the aftermarket ones consume and burn more oil due to vac. flow rate . we been having a lot of cust. complaints that there vehicle is using more oil and when we ck. them out it's 99.9% of the time its they pvc valve.
