Ford: exhaust, bassani mufflers, racer walsh

I have a 95 F150 with a 302.  I want to put a full out exhaust system on it.  I want to put headers with 3-inch pipe all the way out, with mufflers.  I have heard that if my catalytic converter is removed, my check engine light will stay on.  Is that true?  If so, is there any fix to where the light won't come on?  I'm planning on using Bassani headers and I'm between Flowmaster Series 40 and Bassani mufflers.  The sound I'm looking for is that really deep ground-shaking roar like a Mustang with custom exhaust.  Any suggestions or other brands of exhaust you would use?  I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank You

yes the ck eng light will come on but if you buy o2 eliminators from summitt, racer walsh, any proformance shop should be able to get it.there about $65.00 to $85.00 ech you will need 2. now on the exhaust i would do an X pipe with magaflows mufflers there cheep and we are getting a lot more hp out of them then the flowmasters and the mellow tones. you want a 2 1/2  comming off the 3" headers colectors. then at the end if the mufflers go rt to turn downs .this will give you the rummble in the jungle you are looking for.  Good Luck
