Ford: Ford Escort 1997 - Starting, wire spray, maf sensor

Hi Ragu.

I'm driving a Ford Escort Sport 16 valve 1997 model. Every time I start my car )Especially if it stood for 2 hours or more, the car starts immediately but after 2 minutes the refs are going up and down, and the car stalls. I can't start it after this, needs to leave it for about 2 minutes and it will start again. Until the car is warmed up it goes fine. If I try to drive immediately as soon as I press the clutch in the car stalls. I've changed the Idling valve (Just next to the Intake Manifold) Can you please help me.

What you need to do next is ck the maf sensor.if you look at the air filter on the tube you will see a conector with about 4 wires just removed the tube and if you can look closely inside the sensor you will see a small thin wire spray this with only brake cleaner  and let it dry. hook it all back up and see how it runs if it runs good when this happens agean just replace it.good luck  let me know what happens
