GM-GMC: Silverado Transmission, clutch plate, auto tranny

Question
I recently bought a used 94 Silverado...305, 5 Speed Standard, 4x4...driving it home, I lost all gears. You can shift into any gear without using the clutch, and it wont stall or move. I personally think...and am hoping...it's the clutch and not the transmission. I bought a new rebuid kit, and am getting ready to install it. I also have a 93 Silverado that I bought as a parts truck for my 90 Scottsdale. The 93 has the 305, but it's an automatic and only a 2 wheel drive. My question is...should it be the transmission and not the clutch in my 94, will the auto tranny from the 93 bolt to the engine and transfer case in my 94? If it will, will it bolt right up or will i have to make any changes?

Answer
ok i would think its the clutch plate that wore down.

as far as the parts question i cant tell you if they are swappable

i wanted to ad that you can get some info on these vehicles possibly and there specs http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-heritage-archive/historical-brochures.html
maybe there

i also generally know that the specs on an auto tranny are probably dif then the manual. so do i from experience think you will have to make changes yes.

but the clutch thing still pretty sure its the clutch plate and i would think the rebuild kit would fix it if it includes the plate. i have not personally done this so i cant say. i know that the clutch plate is supposed to be a easy fix

let me know what happens
