GM-GMC: 89 chevy c1500 v8 5.0L, chevy c1500, fuel pressure

hi i just bought this truck, all i now is that it sat for 2 years before i got it and has about 1500k miles on it with a rebuilt Trans. i tried starting it and it just turned over and over. so i bought new plugs and battery tried starting it and it started it would run till i turned it off and this happened for about a week then today i tried to start id and noting it will just turn over and over?

Sounds like you need to get the cob webbs out. Start with the basics.  Check for spark, then check for fuel pressure, then look down the throttle body and see if fuel is spraying when the engine is cranking.  If you are missing one of those, you can narrow your search.  (bad gas maybe something to consider also)
