GM-GMC: Truck with a plow, torsion bars, torsion bar

Question
Hi Im looking at a 91 chevy 1500 4x4 and it has a snow plow and i have heard that it wouldnt be a good investment if the truck has front torsion bars because of the weight and pressure of the snow is this true?

Answer
I can understand the reasoning behind that.  With a torsion bar front suspension you will be able to adjust the torsion bars to compensate for the additional weight of the plow etc.  That is if the adjusters aren't seized.  It will help to reduce the sag or uneven vehicle ride height with the plow installed.  Without a torsion bar your only option is to add heavier coil springs.
hope this helps
