GM-GMC: 03 gmc 1500 sle elec-mirror quit, gmc 1500, harness connector

Hi, My pass-side elec-mirror quit working, they are the self parking type. Does nothing, all moves are dead. the driver's side works fine,

A few quick checks and you should be able to figure out what is up. First things first, check the PDM fuse in the left I/P fuse panel.  If its blown replace it and try the mirrors.  If its ok continue on....  Remove the small cover on the inside door panel to access the mirrow harness connector.  There should be a couple of harnesses going to the mirror.  Disconnect the harness with the ppl/wht, wht/red and white wires in it (amound others) and using a test light, check for power on the white wire (terminal 2) with the key in the on position and the mirrow switch moving the mirror to the right and right.  Check for power in the ppl/white wire (teminal 6) moving the mirror switch up and down.  The test light should turn on and off for up/down and left/right.  If it does your switch and all the wiring to that point is ok, the mirror motor is likely dead.  If you don't have any power in any of those positions.  It may get a little tricky.  Generally I would install a scanner and turn the outputs on/off and observe the inputs from the switch.  You can't really do that.  It is entirely possible that the passenger door module has losts its memory.  Causing the condition you describe.  Do the checks I listed and see where it gets you.
