GM-GMC: tail lights, couple dozen, trouble spot

Question
1992 sonoma keeps blowing the fuse for the tail lights, i checked all the bulbs and thats not it, is there a trouble spot in the wiring causing a short

Answer
It sounds like you have a dead short in that circuit.  You will need to try and isolate where the fault is, it can be very difficult and sometimes frustrating, but with some patience and a couple dozen fuses you can figure it out I am sure.  Disconnect as many connectors as you can for the rear lights, remove the bulbs etc etc etc.  Then reinstall a good fuse.  If it blows you will need to continue to disconnect things until you can install a fuse and it doesn't blow.  This can also be done using an old headlight with terminals and wire to plug into where the fuse was, but if you are a beginner, using fuses is much safer, slightly more expensive, but much safer.  You are basically trying to isolate where the short may be located.  I cannot think off the top of my head any known trouble spots for that concern.  If it is equipped with trailer wiring, it would be a good place to start.
Hope this helps
