GM-GMC: Fuel Problem?, throttle position sensor, fuel pressure

Question
1999 Suburban 350-- I cannot go full throttle with it.  It starts hesitating at around 2750 RPM's.  The motor won't shut off, it just doesn't want to go any higher at full throttle (If I back off to half, it will go higher).  It honestly seems to be starving for fuel.  It cranks great, and runs at half throttle and less perfect.  Help!!

Answer
There are a number of things that could cause the symptoms you are describing, throttle position sensor etc etc, there are two things I would check first, one being the fuel pressure and fuel filter, the other being that your exhaust is not partially restricted.  Fuel pressure is easier to check, should be 60-65psi and if you haven't replaced your fuel filter lately, its always good maintenance, it could be restricting the amount of fuel you are getting.  Exhaust back pressure should be below 1.5psi, but you will need a special tool to measure that.  Concentrate on the fuel for now.
Hope this helps
