GM-GMC: 04 Yukon XL Heater Blower, blower motor resistor, yukon xl

Question
The front HVAC blower motor in my Yukon XL stopped working.  The fuse was blown.  Upon replacing the fuse the blower runs continuously even with the ignition off - until the battery dies.  Any thoughts?

Answer
Remove the blower motor resistor and inspect it.  If it is covered with water/corrosion even ice in some cases, it will need to be replaced.  I suspect this is the cause.  It is located on the passenger side under the glove box area.  There is a large cover (usually) that you will need to remove to access the blower motor and the resistor.  The resistor will have a number of wires going into it and two coming out which go to the blower motor.  You can atleast unplug the motor itself to stop it from draining your battery.  Hope this helps.
