GM-GMC: Trailer Harness, trailer wiring harness, gmc sonoma

Hi!
I have a 99 GMC Sonoma, and need to buy and connect a utility trailer wiring harness ... can you please tell me how to identify the proper connector to buy, and how to connect it?

Many of the jobber parts stores have trailer wiring connectors that will essentially plug inline with your existing wiring. No cutting no splicing. They are a little more money,but worth every cent.  Check with a jobber parts store for availability.  If not resubmit and I will find a link with the info you need.
