GM-GMC: spark plug replacement, cowling, spark plug

Hi, I'm replacing the plugs on my 03 Sierra and the wires
seem very difficult to remove. Is there a trick or a special tool to do this? They have a metal cowling at the plug.

no special trick they are like mine i had to make sure i pulled them straight off don't pull them to the side. i had to take a pair of pliers to get mine to come off straight because of their location. other then that it shouldn't be to much trouble
