GM-GMC: VIbration when wheel is turned on a GMC Safari 2000, gmc safari, clutch pressure plate

Question
My 2000 GMC Safari just started front end vibrating with "chattering" or low pitched, hi frequency "stutter" noise everytime the steering wheel is turned or brake pedal is depressed which causes the brake pedal to vibrate as well.

Answer
Hi,
This could be cause by several diffrent things or a combination of things so here is some things I would look into first:

Inspect  all brake components Improper installation/adjustment or damaged brake components

Inspect  Backing Plate - Brake Shoe  Loose/damaged brake backing plate

Inspect  Brake Rotor Specs (Min Machining)  Component warpage/wear beyond allowable limits

Inspect  Clutch Bearing  Worn or improperly alligned clutch bearing.

Inspect  Clutch Pressure Plate  Damaged or worn pressure plate splines or surface.

Inspect  Flywheel - Automatic Transmission  Loose or improperly torqued flywheel.

Inspect  Flywheel Ring Gear-M/T  Damaged, chipped, broken, or worn flywheel ring gear teeth.

Hope this helps
