GM-GMC: power windows, s10 blazer, jumper wire

Hi, I have a 1989 K2500 Silverado and a 1985 S10 Blazer with the same problem. The passenger side window rolls down but won't roll up. The switch and motor seem to be fine. I can roll the window up using a jumper wire but not by either switch   (drivers or passenger). Any suggestions would be appreciated.                                                               Thanks, Max

You need to check for power at the switch to the passenger side window and at the switch for the passenger window on the driver's door.  Also, be certain that the connection on the window motor is clean and secure.

I think that you will find no power or maybe a wire that has broken internally.  It is also possible that a switch has gone bad.

If you are handy with electrical systems, you should be able to track the problem down using a test light.  If not, find a good automotive electric shop and let them repair the problem.
