GM-GMC: wont start, auto parts stores, warranty info

have 1997 silverado vortec 350 won't start no check engine have replaced computer and ignition modual still no fire. have current to coil but no spark out should i replace coil spent alot of money and still dont start please help

I think there are a couple of things to check. Check for kinks in the wiring this can cause bad communication. Also make sure there are no burns or hot spots (close to something hot) this also can cause bad communication. Have you had this vehicle to a dealer or trusted mechanic to run a diagnostic?

Just an FYI always start with the cheapest part that may be the problem.

And this I know that sometimes auto parts stores can run diagnostics for free I know that autozone does. I have had them do it before on a car.

How many miles are on this truck because the PCM is still under warranty in some cases.

I can run a report on this vehicle for warranty info and recall info but that report is through my service and costs 6 dollars you let me know.
