GM-GMC: 98 chevy pu radio wiring, color pairs, aftermarket radio

Question
what color wires are the front r l and rear r l  power as i dont find 2 color pairs as after market radio putting in i dont want to cut existing harness off thanks

Answer
Be EXTREMLY careful in making ABSOLUTELY SURE that this aftermarket radio is 100% compatable with the factory radio that you are removing. If it is NOT 100% compatable you can destroy the speakers and the AMPLIFIER If applicable to your vehicles radio system).

WARNING: the NEGATIVE side of the speakers in this vehicle are NON grounded and go back into the radio. If you have a radio that GROUNDS these negative radio speaker negative wires, You will DESTROY the speakers.

Left Front (LF) = GRAY which is the NEGATIVE wire.
TAN  which is the POSITIVE wire.

Right front (RF) = DARK GREEN which is the NEGATIVE wire.
LIGHT GREEN which is the POSITIVE wire.

Left Rear (LR) = YELLOW which goes to the amplifier as the
LR NEGATINE IN and becomes a LIGHT
GREEN/BLACK LR NEGATIVE OUT from the
                amplifier to the speaker.

BROWN which goes to the amplifier as the
LR POSITIVE IN and becomes a DARK
BLUE/WHITE LR POSITIVE OUT from the
                amplifier to the speaker.

I am not even going to list the RR speaker wires as ALL the speakers have what is called a 4 wire feed back system that goes thru the amplifier and unless you have an electrical schematic for your specific vehicle and have a very good working knowledge of this complex system, I do NOT suggest that you attempt this type of installation due to the complex electronics involved.

I can e-mail you a similar electrical schematic, But if you did NOT get SPECIFIC instructions with your replacement radio as how to wire it so it is 100% compatable to the take out radio, You can destroy ALL the speakers and the amplifier if you make just ONE wrong connection.

Once you destroy the speakers and the amplifier and decide to re-install the original radio, You will destroy the original radio due to the previous destruction of the speakers and the amplifier in trying to install the after market radio.

If you want a similar schematic, e-mail me at:

meperganfortis@msn.com and I will e-mail you this complex system of electrical schematics.
