GM-GMC: engine light is on all the time, sirrea, gas cap

i owned a 2001 gmc sirrea truck...
my engine ligth is on ... i maintance my truck every 3 1/2 month. what do i need to do to repair that?..or why does it lit?

Well I can not tell you why that light is on that would have to go to get tested by a diagnostic machine and it can tell you why. I can tell you that sometimes that light is set by something as simple as the gas cap being loose. Are you experiencing any issues with the truck?
