Honda: 97 Accord, honda, main relay

Question
I own a 97 accord, this winter season there have been 3 maybe 4 occassions when the car would not start.  gets power, it cranks, just not catching.  Everytime I have had the car towed to the shop, when they get it there it starts right up, they don't know what is wrong, think it might be a relay switch but can't test.  I'm at my witts end, because I need a dependable car, any idea what is going on. it only does it when it seems to be brutally cold!

Answer
I'd suggest inspecting for fuel pressure and spark while the car is failing. There is a high failure rate on the PGM-FI main relay on these cars. These relays get cold solder joints and make poor contact at times. When the main relay fails, the car does not get proper fuel pressure, if any at all.
