Honda: Wet Driver Side Carpet, water leak, Honda

I just bought a 1989 Honda Accord SEI, the car is in great condition the only problem I'm having is the drivers side carpet keeps getting wet... The previous owner said he tried to figure it out but ran out of ideas... Can you offer any suggestions...

It is very likely that the leak is coming from the sunroof drain. Your car has four drains for the sunroof pan. Open the sunroof glass and pour some water into the channel of the sunroof tracks. You will see water come out down by the mudflap area. You may have drains that are clogged with debris. The left front drain has an elbow shaped like the letter y. This tends to get dry and crack. Water enters behind the fuse box and hood release cable.
