Honda: Buying new Honda Accord 4 dr. LX sedan, fabric coatings, side air bags

Question
Hi.  I'm trying to decide on both color and model type on a new Honda Accord.  On color, I'm wondering if you have any tips regarding the choice between the ivory and black interiors (on the gold and silver cars), as in which one is riskier in terms of keeping them clean, etc.  On model type, I'm trying to decide between the LX and LX with side air bags (extra).  Any info. on them?  Also, anything else you might advise regarding options I should/shouldn't add, such as a $299 for "protection" which I think is paint and fabric coatings, etc.  Thanks!!!!

Answer
The black interior in my opinion is easier to clean. Yeah it will get hotter in the summer, but that is what tinting is for. Also, you can never go wrong with black, it matches anything. With ivory, it could be risky. Side air bag are a preferance. I personally don't like airbags. I have been in a wreck where if i had an air bag, i would have gotten hurt a lot worse than i did. But in a high spped wreck, airbags can help. That extra protection stuff is a definate no. Any dealership and Honda from experiance will scam you on "protection" packages. They will only fix the problem if they think it is a factory caused problem. So it is really up to their discretion. But remember, its your car and your preference.
