Mercedes: False light out on display, filament, rear window

I sometimes get a light out message when I turn on my light on my 2003 clk320 convertible

Mike,
You may have a lose bulb or broken filament. I have a bulb out lite on my 420 and after some time discovered that the rear window brake lite was out.
When you get the indicator, you may be able to go around and tap the lens on the various bulb to see if the bulb is lose or you may be able to see one out.
