my 2000 320 clk has a pop/clicking noise when I open the car door.

You could try to squirt some lubricant in to the door keeper using the straw that come on some sprays. White grease is best.
If it gets to the point that the keeper will not allow the door to open completely, or will not hold it open, then it will need to be replaced. I purchased two as they were sold that way and it required removal of the door panel to install. Pretty involved by it is a DIY project once you fine the proper sequence of screw removal etc.
Ebay is a good source for parts. Much less expensive that a dealer.
