Mercedes: Surging and Stopping idle, 420sel, 190e

1993 190e 2.6 --sometimes as I come to a stop the car loses idle and cuts off- sometimes when you stop and put it into park idle surges up and down may stay started or may shut down - changed Maas unit-throttle body at dealer about 3500.00 still does same thing  please help!

I installed new plugs in my 420SEL with similar problems and it stopped the bad behavior.
Have you done a completed tuneup yet? I would stay away from a dealer for these issues and find a good independent Mercedes Mechanic and have them check the ignition system.
