The wrenches have to do with the service period. You manual should detail the specifics. Otherwise, I suggest that you phone an independent Mercedes mechanic and ask what to do. On some vehicle it means 2700 days to next service or miles depending on the vehicle.
Or it may mean 600 since the last service etc.

You my want to check at your public library for a loaner, or sometime they are available on ebay. Or http://www.mercedesmanuals.com/ is a source I found on the web by doing a mercedes manual google search.
