Mercedes: Engine shuts off after about 20 minutes, mercedes benz 190e, number search results

1991 Mercedes 190E  2.6 122,000 miles. Engine starts fine and runs great,but after about 20 minutes it will shut down completely whether driving or sitting in driveway.If on road pull to side and turn key and it will start and go again,same if sitting in driveway.What could be the problem?PB
