Because each country has separate import regulation, you should google India/s import regulation, or contact a freight forwarder that specializes in vehicle transport.
Be sure to have the vehicle place in a container if possible. Salt air is really bad on the finish. At the very least you should coat the vehicle with a heavy coat of wax. Also inquire that the vehicle is lashed to the container floor with chain, preferably with blocks between the car floor pan and the floor.. High seas can really cause the vehicle to bounce up and down on the suspension.
The UK may have and export fee on used vehicles. The freight forwarder can also answer questions.
You will need to have proper documentation for the person receiving the vehicle on the other end. It is important to be there as soon as possible to take deliver of the vehicle upon arrival as daily storage fees can be very high.
The forwarder can also provide you with the rules about how much fuel can be allowed left in the vehicle.
