Mercedes: 450sl fuel delivery problem, k jetronic, electronic engine controls

Question
I have a 78 450sl mercedes, with 107,000,in Las Vegas. I have no power to the fuel pump, however when I run a jumper line to the battery I get fuel to the injectors, but i can't get the engine to start,there is spark at every cylinder.  Also with carb cleaner or starting fluid the engine will fire for a moment.
