Mercedes: rear brakes 240d, tom coulter, flex hoses

Question
I drove my car today about two miles and thought my fuel filter might be clogged because it was getting no power.  Stopped to find that both rear brakes were red hot and smoking.  Don't know where to start  since it is both of them.

Replace the master cylinder, both rear calipers, all four rubber flex hoses, and rear pads.
Your rear rotors may be wrecked also.
