do all mercedes only burn recommned premium gas like 93 octane

Premium is recommended for all MB cars.
Failure to use premium may cause the engine to run at less than 100% efficiency/capacity.
I know thousands of owners who run regular, and accept the slight loss for the lower fuel cost.
