QuestionI have just obtained a 1985 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbo Diesel and it runs quite well, however it will not go over 50 MPH and when I try to take a hill or incline the car automatically decreases speed and it seems like I am losing power. Can you tell me what could possibly be casuing this problem? Is it possible to get this vehicle back performing like new? It has over 239,998 miles on it. Also, the mileage counter is broken, would you know of mechanics to contact in California in the San Gabriel Valley area? I am considering having this car restored little by little. I also need to contact a dealer with access to the interior dash woodwork that needs to be replaced as well the ability to fix the glove compartment which no longer closes, the lock is sprung.
