Mercedes: 1984 Mercedes 190D, dynamic movement, tie rods

Question
I am trying to replace the starter in my 1984 Mercedes 190D. A simple job (Not)

Can I remove and replace the starter without disconnecting major parts?
 
How do I get the starter out and replaced without disconecting my frontend tie rods and ends. Or loosening the motor mounts?

If I must disconnect another component thats life, but please advise which is the least complicated.

There is only one way to get the beast out and in without removing components, very sad that I can not describe the rotation, positioning and dynamic movement required.
