Mercedes: 1985 Mercedes 300 td sta wgn, hose clamps, hose size

Question
I have a bad coupling hose that is attached below the thermostat housing and goes to the cooling system. I can't find a part number for it. Do you know it ?

Also, how do I replace the darn thing. Do I have to remove the housing from the engine block and if so, how?

Thanks for your help.

Answer
Remove hose clamps.
Cut the hose down the side.
Take the cut hose to your local domestic auto parts store.
They can match the hose size; but you will need to buy a full hose and cut out what you need.
It is difficult, but possible to sneak a new hose into place without removing the thermostat housing.

You may wreck the first piece while sneaking it in.
Do not worry, just cut another, and take as many rest breaks as needed.
Have a great day.
