Nissan Repair: 1999 Nissan Frontier - Drivers seat, nissan frontier, seat mechanism

I cannot get my drivers seat to move forward. When I try to move it forward it just stays in a locked position.  I have made sure that there is nothing blocking the mechanism.  On the passenger seat there is a spring underneath, but I do not see a spring under the driver's seat.  The seat was working fine a couple of days ago when I cleaned the car.  Can you help me out????

I really need to take a look at the track and seat mechanism for an accurate answer, but I am thinking, since you mentioned there is no spring, that it undid itself, perhaps when it was cleaned. Can you see any spring at all? Follow the handle to adjust your seat and you should be able to find where the spring goes. My guess is that it is stuck in the locked position. Perhaps the spring recoiled and is stuck in the top area of the seat?

It is important to secure this, especially if you need to make a panic stop.
