Mercedes: proformance, bmw 325e, fuel filter

hello I have recently brought a 1984 bmw 325e i would like to know what would cause the car to cut back will driving it is a 5 speed you put it ing gear and it picks up then it dies. i have change the fuel filter and the plugs and clean the injectors don't know what eles to do! i know you work on bmw but if you can help please help thank you toney
