Mitsubishi: engine break-in, stock bearings, cylinder walls

Question
I am rebuilding the Mitsubishi 2.6 in my 1985 Mighty Max with all stock bearings and rings. I have resurfaced the block and the head. I have honed the cylinder walls and I have been researching the subject of engine break-in. I've researched both gentle and hard break-in. I was wondering what your opinion on the subject was? Thanks.

Answer
Hi Randy,

When I bought my first Navigator the guys told me to break it in like I am going to drive it. I drive mine like a rental. First one went 100k with no problems and my second one now has 120k and still runs perfect. So break it in like your going to drive it.
