Mitsubishi: wont start, engine cranks, coil pack

Question

-------------------------

hello once again dinger, its edgar a.

My car is a 98 eclipse RS non-turbo,auto,2.0 DOHC and the miles on the used motor are 71k.

Answer
Ok Ed, now I can help! The engine cranks, but won't start. The book says you need to replace the timing belt every 100,000 so it probably is a coil issue. Replace the coil pack and see if that doesn't do it. Check all your electrical connections to the coil and distributer.
