Mitsubishi: Mitsubishi 3000GT Losting power, mitsubishi 3000gt, 3000gt

I have 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT (103000 miles) and having the following two problems:
1> Only sometimes, after driving the car, turn off the engine for gas or mail and try to restart but will not start, wait about 10 to 20 mintues the car starts up.

2> Driving the car, suddenly lost power, the check engine light comes on, after a few second power comes back, check engine light goes out and able continue.

When that check engine light comes on the computer stores a code. We need to know what that code is. This will tell us our next move. Please have your car scanned and let me know what the code number is. Cottman Transmission will do this for free if there is one near you...
