Mitsubishi: fuse, side kick panel, removable face plate

I have looked in the manual and I can not locate were the fuse box is in my 2001 Montero.

Well Michelle, Your gonna love this. You have two fuse locations. One is under the hood, left fender in the engine compartment. Not hard to see. Should be right there next to the battery. They call this the "dedicated" fuse block. The other, they call a "mutli-purpose" fuse block is located in... the steering wheel! The diagram I have shows it under the appearently removable face plate on the steering wheel?!?!? Let me check it again! Ya know, I really find this hard to believe that it would be in the steering wheel, so let's check near the steering wheel, under the dash. This is where I would figure it to be. I have also found these to be in the left side kick panel, which is the side wall to the far left, up high, under the dash. If this ends up being under the steering wheel cover, I will be amazed. If you still have problems locating this, please resubmit. I have people that I can ask, but not at this hour! ;)
