Nissan: keyless entry, keyless remotes, keyless entry

Question
Hi.  I actually have an Inifiti I30, which is almost exactly like the maxima to my knowledge.  I hope you might possibly be able to help me, anyway.  I bought my '97 I30 a few months ago and the keyless remotes worked fine.  Recently, though, they stopped working altogether.  I tried putting new batteries in them, but nothing worked.  Do you know what could be wrong?  Could it be the chip inside the car?  If so, where can i find it?  I looked for a fuse, but couldn't find anything.  Any help would GREATLY be appreciated.  Thanks!- John

Answer
The best place to start would be to reprogram the remotes. You may find this procedure in the factory service manual. Any local dealer can provide you with it and it is not difficult to do. If that fails then you may want to look at the electrical cicuit but its very complicated. Let me know if the first step does not work.
