Would my car be considered an H or G body? I have the 88 Lesabre T Type. Thanks for your prompt response earlier.

Answer
Jeff,

H-Bodies - Monza , Vega , Astre, Sunbird, Starfire, Skyhawk

G-Bodies- Buick(T-type,Turbo buick,Regal,Grand National) Chevrolet(Monte Carlo),Ponitac(Grand Prix, 2X2), Oldsmobile(Cutlass Supreme, 442 , Hurst Olds H/O)

This is really just a basic listing. When trying to figure out what body style you have, H is the internal code GM used to identify the car platform. For example, some other codes are F for the Camaro and Firebird, P for the Fiero, Y for the Corvette, G for the RWD Monte Carlo and Grand Prix, and so on. Letter codes change and get reused. Most recently, H was used for the large FWD platform used by the Pontiac Bonneville and Buick LeSabre.

Information was sketchy online at best. I'd say just from what I found online you do have a variation of the H-Body but no where close to a full size G-Body.

Hope this helps !
