Chrysler Repair: 2000 Chrysler Cirrus Transmission, chrysler cirrus, 2000 chrysler cirrus

Question
Bought used 2000 Cirrus in Jan 06, was working great and then began having shifting problems. Car would "fall" out of gear on left/right turns, also have problems shifting in/out of drive and reverse. Checked Transmission fluid and added. Couple months passed, car having same issues + certain occasions would not shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear while in drive. Pulled over, restarted vehicle and would shift normal. (leads me to think this is a Chip issue) Car breaks down, mechanic says the Air conditioner compressor is locked up and broke belt. Sepnd $950 bucks for repair. Get vehicle back, working fine and shifting correctly. After 1 hour, vehicle does not shift out of 1st gear and air conditioner does not work at high rpms. Mechanic says defective compressor give him additional $100 bucks + buy more freon and he will replace. Please advise =(((
