Pontiac: A/c pressure switch, pontiac sunfire, car websites

Question
1996 Pontiac sunfire 2.2L

Hi harold

Since summer started a month ago, the a/c was blowing hot air.  I took it to a mechanic, he leak tested the a/c system and found that the a/c system did not have a leak and the refrigerant was fully charged.  He said the a/c pressure switch was loose.  He tightened it for me and the a/c blew cold air again.  Now two weeks later, the a/c is blowing hot air.  I was wondering if you could pinpoint where the pressure switch is located and if any special tools are needed to tighten it?  I have looked at various car websites and no one doesn't seem to know or answer.  any guidance in this area will be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Michael

Answer
Usually it is on the accumulator but sometimes it is in one of the low side lines. There are no special tools to tighten it. I think a 13mm wrench is what you need. I doubt that that is the problem though.
I would take it back to the place you had it before and tell them that it isnt fixed and they should retest it for free.
