Pontiac: 95 grand am 3.1l v6, fuel gauge, fuel meter

Question
Hi, I have a Grand Am with a 3.1 V6 engine. my fuel gauge doesn't want to work. i changed the sending unit on the fuel pump and i even tried replacing the cluster. is there anything else controlling the fuel gauge. my km are low on 120000km please let me know what to do next?

Answer
There IS the possibility that the BAFFLE in the fuel tank came loose and is floating aroud and hitting the fuel meter.

There is also any number of wire connection problems.

There is even the possibility that the USED cluster that you installed already had the SAME problem of a faulty gage.
