Saab: Saab not starting-no spark, miss fire, dash lights

Question
Hi, I have a 1997 900 turbo that will not start up anymore. The radio and all of my dash lights come on when I turn the key, but my car would not turn over. The fuel pump seems to be fine and gas is getting where it needs to go. Today, I found out that I'm not getting any spark though. A little over a year ago I got a new DIC (direct ignition cassette) because mine had a miss fire in one of the cylinders but I kept the part. I tried putting the older one in, because it still ran when I had my miss fire, but it still would not start. Because the older cassette was sitting for a while could that have been a problem or can I single out that my DIC is not a problem. If I can, is there any suggestions where to start looking next?

Kathryn:
I am sorry, but as noted in my profile, my hands-on experience is limited to the pre-1993 900's only. I can only state in a general way that the "usual logical trouble shooting procedures" must be followed to determine the problem. Consider electrical connections and grounds to be likely sources of such problems.
